Best scholarships for Jordanian students

1. Stipendium Hungaricum, Hungary

Jordan is one of the strongest cases for Stipendium Hungaricum. The latest official partner information listed Jordan as eligible for full-degree bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s and doctoral studies in any academic field, as well as partial study options.

The same official information noted that the Jordanian Sending Partner required IELTS or TOEFL iBT to be submitted by its deadline in the latest cycle. Students applying from Jordan should therefore check local language-test requirements carefully.

2. Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters

Erasmus Mundus is open worldwide, so Jordanian students can apply to eligible master’s programmes. The scholarship can cover participation costs and contribute to travel, visa and living costs.

This is a strong route for Jordanian students in engineering, water management, climate, public policy, development, health, education and data science.

3. DAAD scholarships, Germany

DAAD offers many scholarship routes for study and research in Germany. DAAD EPOS is especially useful for applicants from developing and newly industrialised countries who have at least two years of professional experience.

Jordanian applicants with experience in water, energy, public health, development, engineering, education or public administration should check DAAD EPOS.

4. MAECI scholarships, Italy

Jordan appears in the official eligible country list for Italy’s MAECI scholarship. MAECI can support master’s, PhD, research, AFAM arts programmes and Italian language or culture courses, depending on the annual call.

5. AECID Africa-Med scholarships, Spain

The latest AECID Africa-Med Master call included Jordan among eligible countries. Applicants needed admission to an official in-person Spanish master’s before applying.

6. Slovakia Government Scholarships

7. Eiffel Scholarship, France

8. GKS, South Korea

Jordanian students have a verified GKS route from the latest cycle. The Korean Embassy in Jordan announced the 2026 Global Korea Scholarship graduate Embassy Track for Jordanian applicants.

9. MEXT Scholarship, Japan

MEXT requires applicants to have the nationality of a country with diplomatic relations with Japan, and applications are usually submitted through the responsible Japanese embassy or consulate.
